Genesys Works announces Wayne Carlson as Director, Finance & Administration 


HOUSTON, TX (January 3, 2010)  Genesys Works, a national non-profit organization headquartered in Houston, Texas,  recently announced Wayne Carlson as  Director of Finance & Administration, operating out of the organization's National  office, starting on January 3, 2011.  Wayne comes to Genesys Works from HP where he oversaw the financial planning and analysis for a $2B business unit. He also played a key project management role in internal audit, strengthening and increasing efficiencies in the accounting processes. Earlier in his career, Wayne worked for the State of California, auditing approximately $2.5B of state, federal and private funds awarded to nonprofit organizations.

 "I am thrilled to have Wayne join our organization in this exciting period of growth," said Rafael Alvarez, Founder and CEO of Genesys Works. "Wayne's experience with internal audit, grant management, financial analysis and reporting will result in a much greater level of efficiency in, and control of, our financial affairs".

Wayne holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Hawaii and is a certified public accountant.

 "My desire to work with Genesys Works stems from my desire to help young adults overcome their obstacles and reach their full potential. I am thrilled to be joining Genesys Works at this time and helping it grow to scale", said Carlson of his appointment.
